What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture originated in China over 3,000 years ago by physicians in Oriental medicine. It is now recognized and utilized by medical doctors here in the West and all over the world for an ever-increasing number of disorders and illnesses. It is an extremely effective and safe choice for initial and on-going health care. See the list of conditions that Rosanne has successfully treated.
Very simply, acupuncture alters the subtle level of Qi (energy) that ceaselessly and continuously circulates through 14 major energy pathways in the body, pathways discovered, as mentioned above, over 3,000 years ago. These pathways are invisible to the human eye but exist nonetheless and if the body is in a state of ill-health, accessing these pathways (using needles to access the most potent energy points to the 14 energy pathways) restores and rebalances the body’s blocked or weakened energy. The body is therefore eased and nudged toward a balanced, healthier state.
Here at Emanuele Acupuncture, Rosanne practices a Japanese style of acupuncture. This modern, state-of-the-art acupuncture approach was developed in Tokyo only sixty years ago. It is known for its simple, rapidly engaging techniques that condense and redefine the body’s energies. The results are quick, remarkable and efficient.
